This 26 foot tall tower is famous for the unintended tilt in its structure. The soft construction ground couldn’t properly support its weight, resulting in the tilt we see now. In 1990, it leaned at 5.5 degrees; however, restoration has reversed this lean. Today, the tower leans at about 3.99 degrees, leaving the top of the tower displaced from the center by almost 13 feet.
